The song was motivated by her sincere desire to espouse the ideals of Me Too or #MeToo. This women’s movement campaigns against assault as well as sexual harassment of women. It started to become popular in October of 2017 and turned into a hashtag on social media, emphasizing the frequency of women’s exploitation in the workplace.
Meanwhile, Lila Jean started first lending her songwriting and vocals commerically for international cosmetic brands as well as for independent films.
